League of Women Voters presents City Council candidate forum Oct. 20

LWVStandardNameIn partnership with four other community agencies, the League of Women Voters of Asheville-Buncombe County will present a public information forum on October 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Wesley Grant, Sr. Center at 285 Livingston Street in Asheville.

All six city council candidates — Julie Mayfield, Brian Haynes, Marc Hunt, Keith Young, Lindsey Simerly and Rich Lee — have been invited to participate.

Moderator Kim Roney, station co-manager for Asheville Free Media, will pose questions submitted by the sponsoring organizations and written questions submitted by the public at the door.

The League of Women Voters is joined by partner organizations YWCA of Asheville, Children First/Communities in Schools, Democracy NC and Green Opportunities.
