Two dancers have come together to create a two-day experience including workshops and shows with dancers from across the United States, says the website for House of Tarot. The show, which interprets tarot reading through dance and theater, is a collaboration of local dance instructor Lisa Zahiya and bellydancer Zoe Jakes, of Beats Antique.
The cast includes Washington, D.C.-based choreographer Ebony Qualls; Kingsport, Tenn.-based fusion bellydance performer Angie D; local cabaret and fusion bellydance performer Charlotte Louise; Knoxville-based tribal fusion bellydancer Claire Metz and many others.
The show takes place at On Broadway on Wednesday and Thursday, March 19 and 20, at 7 p.m. $20 per tickets or four tickets for $75.
A dance intensive will also be held on Wednesday and Thursday at Studio Zahiya. 10 a.m.-1 p.m., $70 per day or $125 for both days.
