PRESS RELEASE:
Join Parkway rangers at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 23rd for an easy to moderate, 2 mile hike that is right in Asheville’s backyard. Hiking, rambling, tramping, fellwalking–call it what you will–walking in the woods has been a popular pastime across the world since the 1700’s, with hundreds of books, thousands of maps, and even a few movies dedicated to this activity. But what’s the attraction? Join us and find out!
Meet at the dirt pull-off on the northern end of the French Broad River Bridge at Milepost 393.7. Wear long pants (for the poison ivy) and hiking shoes, bring some water, and be prepared for changeable weather.
