Season Finale: Tuxedo Junction & The Hendersonville Antique Car Club

The season finale of the popular 18th Annual Music On Main Street concert series will conclude on Friday, August 19th. The season finale features the sounds of Tuxedo Junction.

Tuxedo Junction plays variety of music for all ages and musical tastes. This six member band plays classic music from 40s & ’50s swing and bebop, classic ’50s & ’60s rock’n’roll, vintage East Coast Beach, Motown’s golden era hits, pop-rock and funk from the ’70s & ’80s, as well as contemporary dance favorites to contemporary country.  They play favorites such as: In the Mood, La Bamba, Blue Suede Shoes, California Girls, Proud Mary, Country Roads, Fly Like An Eagle and First Cut Is the Deepest.

“Music On Main Street  is an annual treat for us,” says Junction founder/drummer, Joey Moore. “We play a half dozen concert settings a year and Music On Main is as close to a labor of love as it gets!  We play a lot of wedding receptions, country club and corporate events, but there’s something about the Music On Main Street crowd, the setting and the level of enthusiasm for the series that makes it better each year.”

The Hendersonville Antique Car Club will be showcasing their vintage and antique cars.  The club members have a love of automobiles and strive to preserve the history through the restoration of these classic cars.  The car show is located in front of the Visitors Center, between Allen Street and Caswell Street, which will be closed to traffic. The classic cars shows are sponsored and coordinated by the Hendersonville Antique Car Club.

Bring a chair and sit back, relax and enjoy the music from 7:00-9:00pm. Seating area opens after 5:30pm, early admission is strictly prohibited..Pets, alcoholic beverages and coolers are prohibited. Admission is free.

In case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed until 8:00pm; if the weather does not improve by 8:00pm the performance will be cancelled.
