The Exhibition:
A Community of Artists celebrates the love for the arts that the staff, educators and families share at ArtSpace Charter School. This art show represents just a small portion of the many wonderful talents that comprise the ArtSpace Community. We are happy to showcase the work of the community’s many visual artists. Parents, teachers and staff value the arts as a way of life and art is integrated in all of the classrooms at this public charter school. Not only do teachers incorporate the visual arts in their classroom lessons, they also integrate dance, drama, music and technology into their teaching.
The Artists:
A Community of Artists features work by several staff and parents in the ArtSpace community. Some of the staff artists featured are Robin Allred, Nick Rogowski, Erin Carr, Hollis McKeown, Jocelyn Reese, Annabell Lisa, Charlie Page, Adina Cooper, Lori Cozzi and Clay Magidson. Parents from the school community are also contributing pieces for this show. Some of those parents include Chrissy Stewart, Lara Nyugen, Natacha Jones, Jill Coleman and Janine Wilshire.
The Venue:
London District Studios (The London) and Asheville Jack CoffeeHouse offer a venue where fine art and culture are integrated into everyday living by weaving quality lifestyle-driven home furnishings and fine art into a cohesive union providing the public a chance to embrace artful living. The London is a lifestyle-driven retail home store, working studios gallery and coffee shop that harkens back to the style, energy, edginess, romance and vibe of the early days of SoHo. The London is committed to representing the creme de la creme of Asheville’s artists and presenting high quality and stylish homewares and furnishings in a hip, relaxed and community oriented venue.
