UPDATE:
The suspect in the August 23rd robbery of TD Bank has been identified as John Howard Johnson, age 64, of Virginia. Warrants for armed robbery have been obtained, however the suspect’s whereabouts are currently unknown. Mr. Johnson is also being investigated by other local, state and federal authorities in connection with similar robberies occurring in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Anyone with information on Mr. Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Eric LaRowe with the Hendersonville Police Department at (828) 697-3025. On August 23, 2019, at approximately 10:45am, the Hendersonville Police Department was contacted regarding a robbery at TD Bank located at 535 Greenville Hwy in Hendersonville.
A man walked into the bank, handed the teller a note, and left with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, wearing a white shirt, tan pants, and a light-colored ball cap. The suspect may be traveling in a gold Nissan Altima with possible Georgia license plate.
Hendersonville Police are attempting to identify the suspect and seeking assistance from the public. Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to contact Detective Eric LaRowe with the Hendersonville Police Department at (828) 697-3025.
