Here are the Southeastern Film Critics Association’s picks for the best film work of 2002.

This year, 42 SEFCA members representing nine states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia — voted on the awards.

Runner-up: Jack Nicholson, About Schmidt

Best Actress

Winner: Julianne Moore, Far From Heaven

Runner-up: Nicole Kidman, The Hours

Best Supporting Actor

Winner: Chris Cooper, Adaptation
