Press release from the city of Asheville:
We invite you to the Community Meeting, Celebration & Conversation!
As part of the city government, the Department of Equity & Inclusion plays a unique role toward maximizing the access and opportunities that all people have to satisfy essential needs, advance their well-being and achieve their full potential.
So come to celebrate community members who have been making an impact in the lives of their neighbors, and join us in inspiring and thought-provoking conversations that build Asheville, advancing equity and inclusion in our City.
The date is this Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., at the Arthur R. Edington Center, 133 Livingston St., Asheville. There will be food available.
Remember that Inclusion is authentic and empowered participation with a true sense of belonging. That’s what we’re trying to achieve here, to create an inclusive engagement where the community can work collaboratively to ensure their voices are valued.
Before you comment
The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained. All comments judged not to be in keeping with the spirit of civil discourse will be removed and repeat violators will be banned. See here for our terms of service.
