UNC Health updates about available emergency prescriptions and cancer care services

Press release from UNC Health:

We continue to extend our gratitude to UNC Health and our local and state emergency management partners for their invaluable assistance during this difficult time.

We are glad to report that Pardee Rx at 1027 Fleming St. in Hendersonville will be open to fill emergency prescriptions for community members. Pardee Cancer Center will partially resume operations, seeing patients who had previously scheduled infusion or lab appointments. We will also see active cancer patients who need acute care services related to their treatment.

We have made the difficult decision to close the following offices and cancel appointments for Tuesday, Oct. 1:

  • Pardee BlueMD
  • Pardee specialty practices
  • Outpatient radiology
  • Outpatient lab
  • Southeastern Sports Medicine & Orthopedics practices
  • Pardee Physical Therapy locations
  • Pardee Urgent Care

Patients can expect a call to reschedule appointments in the coming days.  As we navigate this challenging time, we are committed to the safety of our patients and teammates. We continue to be here for your immediate medical needs. The hospital and emergency department are open 24/7 for emergent medical care.

We continue to stress the importance of avoiding roads unless it’s an emergency so emergency vehicles can get through.

We will communicate on our social channels and website as our operations expand. Let’s continue to show up for one another; we will weather this storm together.
