On Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m., the Grove Corner Market at Asheville’s Grove Arcade features a variety of fresh seafood straight from the Carolina coast, live music on the sidewalk, fresh pastas, pesto and more. For a time, that was the only day of the week that market shoppers could find warm and crusty baguettes and boules from Ze Oven Bakery. But now, after 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, shoppers can treat themselves to Ze Oven goodies, as well as an assortment of other items for dinner. For more information visit www.grovecornermarket.com.

Nouveau Night in Asheville is nearly upon us again. It’s time to purchase tickets for the Thursday, Nov. 16, celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau — the fresh-wine harvest from France — which will be held at the Haywood Park Hotel. This event will feature offerings of Beaujolais Nouveau from various French wineries, along with cuisine from many of the finest restaurants in town. This is a fund-raising event for the Asheville Downtown Association, as well as a fine way to kick off the holiday season. Call the Weinhaus at 254-6453 for more information or to reserve tickets.
