The website for Consider The Source couple just as easily be the website for an action movie festival or a graphic novel about Ninjas. The band’s bio describe Gabriel Marin (fretless double neck guitar), John Ferrara (bass) and Justin Ahiyon (percussion) as “three conscious minds communicating on sub-conscious levels.” They call their sound, “a melting pot of Middle Eastern scales, psychedelic jams, and a hard rocking rhythm section.” Consider The Source has toured in in Israel, Turkey & Germany. And the U.S. A southeast jaunt brings them to The One Stop on Saturday, April 7. 10 p.m., $7.
Asian Teacher Factory, a new Asheville-based psychedelic/prog band, opens. You can download their new EP, Selfless Mind Indulgence, for free.
