Competing with several other large events, the 2012 Earth Day did not seem to draw the crowds seen in the past. Never mind, said the participants and here are some shots from the day.
From a live corn snake at the WNC Nature Center and lots of pelts of local animals, to snowcones, painting, face painting, music, comedy, a man with a hawk walking around, electric bicyles, and of course Xpress giving out trees, there was lots to see, do and eat.
Happy birthday, Earth. Many, many more.
