Even though The Dave Matthews Band formed just up the road (Charlottesville, Va.), it’s an international act, with Matthews coming from South Africa and lead guitarist Tim Reynolds born in Germany. In addition to guitar, Reynolds also plays piano, sitar, drums, violin, bass, keyboards, djembe, harp and he sings.
Reynolds formed his own electric funk trio TR3 (pictured, above) prior to meeting Matthews — that band is still a strong side project and will be headlining Pisgah Brewing Company on Thursday, Aug. 11. They’ll play new material from just-released From SPACE and Beyond, as well a songs from the band’s back catalog. $12 advance/$16 day of show. /pisgahbrewing.com.
