Best of WNC 2012: ALL of your favorites, revealed!

Why do we love the Best of WNC? For one, it’s democracy in action. Your votes decide who and what gets to be in our two biggest issues of the year — and for our 2012 poll, we had thousands of voters … more than ever before. We love the Best of WNC, too, because it’s a showcase of our community, the place we love and serve.

When a certain cat with a side ponytail and a taste for the finer things of WNC first visited our valley, some of you may have been perplexed, perhaps even a little scared. But as Issue Two spins off the press rolls, the Wampus Cat is already a familiar sight — a kind of countryman. This is not to say that Wampus is not great, not a legend. Rather, like a dish of jelly beans, pictures of adorable baby animals or episodes of Tom and Jerry, greatness blends in with greatness, making one great thing.

Take a walk on the Wampus side!
