2021 WNC National Philanthropy Award recipients announced

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Western North Carolina Chapter is celebrating National Philanthropy Day virtually on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:30 a.m.

National Philanthropy Day is a special day to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those active in the philanthropic community – make to our lives, communities and world. More than 130 AFP chapters across the country, including the Western North Carolina chapter, will celebrate the importance of philanthropy and recognize those who are doing extraordinary work in our communities.

The 2021 recipients of WNC National Philanthropy Awards are:

Outstanding Philanthropists – Tricia Wilson
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – W. Stell Huie
Outstanding Businesses in Philanthropy – Prestige Subaru and Horizon Heat & Air
Outstanding Fundraising Executive – Eleanor Ashton
Summit Award – Dr. Joseph Fox
