A Shred and Protect event

PRESS RELEASE: 

A Shred and Protect Event sponsored by Local Government Federal Credit Union will be held for residents of the Buncombe County.

 

This is a free event that encourages residents to shred documents to protect from identity theft

 

(Black Mountain, NC) To assist members of the community reduce their risk of identity theft Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) is sponsoring a free Shred and Protect event for residents of Buncombe County and in conjunction with the Black Mountain Fire Department and Safety Saturday.

 

Members of the Community are invited to bring documents that include personal or confidential information for disposal. These documents include pre-approved credit card offers, monthly statements, out-of-date account statements and other printed personal information. These documents will be shredded on-site.

 

What:              Shred and Protect

When:             May 21, 2016

Time:              10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Where:            Parking lot of Ingles

550 NC Highway 9

Black Mountain, NC 28711

 

*There is a limit of three document boxes or 75lbs of paper per attendee
