ASHEVILLE – The Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry would like to thank Lenny’s Subs at 645 Biltmore Avenue and Asheville Brewing Company at 77 Coxe Avenue for their generous donation of meals to one of our newest programs called Our Circle.
Our Circle partners community mentors with young parents aged 16-24, to support them as they move into productive careers that will lead toward financial security for their family.
“We meet twice a week for dinner; it is so nice to be able to break bread together as we discuss the challenges of poverty and strategies to emerge onto a middle class career path,” remarked Sara Varnado, coach for Our Circle. “Donations like these from local restaurants frees us from worrying about putting food on the table and really makes us feel supported by our community.”
Area restaurants and cafeterias that would like to donate meals to this program should call the Our Circle office at 828-398-6995 or email staff at circles@abccm.org. We currently need meals for about 20 people on Tuesday evenings and 12 people on Thursdays.
