AC-T: Gray wolf euthanized at WNC Nature Center

A gray wolf, who for more than six years made his home at the WNC Nature Center, was euthanized on Saturday following a brief illness, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported Monday.

Cody lived at the Nature Center with a female wolf, Shalimar.

About a month and a half ago, a veterinarian discovered a mass during Cody’s annual examination, according to Chris Gentile, director of the WNC Nature Center.
