Architectural Design Awards: AIA Asheville celebrates Design Excellence in WNC
Asheville NC – The American Institute of Architects, Asheville Section (AIA Asheville) will celebrate architecture, architects, and great design at their 2016 Design Awards on Thursday, September 8, 7:00pm at City County Plaza. The evening begins with a social hour followed by a video awards presentation. Residential and commercial categories will be recognized as well as other special “Citizen Architect” awards.
There are about 200 AIA members in Western North Carolina. AIA Asheville seeks to build affiliations with other community-based organizations, local and regional boards and commissions, and community individuals. They work to address issues of concern for the region such as historic preservation, smart growth, sustainability, green building, affordable housing and more. AIA Asheville unites the community of design professionals who live and work in the area.
