From a press release:
“American Ride” history show features Asheville, Nov. 17
This past July, American Ride, a refreshingly different TV show about American history, filmed in Asheville. Now in its seventh season and hosted by Stan Ellsworth — the 6’2”, 300lb, Harley Davidson-riding, muscle-clad former football coach and high school history teacher — American Ride explores the trails of our nation’s history, bringing the past alive as Ellsworth visits historically interesting cities across the country.
Stan and his crew filmed at various cultural and historic landmarks throughout Asheville, explaining the legacy of the area’s Smoky Mountain heritage, visiting the Art Deco district, exploring the Biltmore and visiting a folk music festival. “Smoky Mountains,” the episode that features Stan’s journey through Asheville, is airing this Monday, Nov. 17 at 9pm ET/7pm MT on BYUtv.
