APD investigate juvenile gunshot victim

Press release from APD:

Asheville Police Department Officers responded to Mission Hospital at 10:00 PM for a report of a gunshot wound.  There they found a 16-year-old juvenile who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg.  The juvenile told the officers that he was shot on Livingston St.

So far in 2023 there have been 18 people injured or killed by firearms in Asheville.

At this time Detectives are searching for evidence, including the identity of the passers-by who dropped the victim off at the hospital.
