APD responds to shooting on Crest Avenue

Press release from the Asheville Police Department:

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on October 6 the Asheville Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Crest Avenue. Upon arrival officers located 13 shell casings on Crest Avenue and 1 on Booker Street. No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.

If anyone has any information on this incident they are encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110.

The Asheville Police Department is committed to addressing gun violence in our community. Since January 1, 2020 the Asheville Police Department has responded to 469 calls for service regarding a gun discharge or individual who has been shot. In addition, 36 individuals have been shot in Asheville during the same time period.
