APD responds to stabbing at 1460 Patton Ave.

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

UPDATE 6/18: Todd Housel has been taken into custody without incident. The Asheville Police Department (APD) has charged Todd Nathan Housel with first degree murder for the death of Michael Eugene Hirt. 

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on June 15 the Asheville Police Department received a report of an individual suffering from stab wounds at 1460 Patton Avenue. Upon arrival officers located a victim, who has been identified as Michael Eugene Hirt (66), of Asheville, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hirt was transported to Mission Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Asheville Police Department has identified a person of interest in this case. If anyone has any information on this incident they are encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110.

    Was the man that got murdered a repeat pedophile? One of the convictions being for Sodomy of a child under 12 years old? Just curious.
