APD: realtor arrested on drug sale charges

Full announcement from the Asheville Police Department:

On March 5th 2013 Officers of the Asheville Police Department Drug Suppression Unit purchased illegal narcotics from Benjamin Falcon a Realtor with Town and Mountain Realty. Falcon was being investigated by the Drug Suppression Unit after information was received stating that Falcon was supplying Realtors with illegal drugs.

Falcon was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana and Felony Possession of Schedule I Narcotics. Falcon was also charged with Felony Maintain a dwelling and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $2500.

    Wonder how many hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer dollars are needed to support salaries, benefits and supplies for the “Asheville Police Department Drug Suppression Unit” to make marijuana busts?

    Not a fan of drugs. Just someone who has watched this country fight this losing battle for 50+ years. Time for a reality check.

    What a waste of tax dollars by our government. I do NOT use drugs, just a clarification, but what a terrible focus for our legal system…..js
