From the Asheville Art Museum:
Since 1948, the Asheville Art Museum has welcomed visitors from Western North Carolina, the Southeast, and around the country and world to explore American art of the 20th and 21st centuries. As we navigate the realities of life during this challenging time, we believe that art is more important than ever; it offers hope, comfort, and a window into other worlds. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum and are taking steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
Following Governor Roy Cooper’s Phase 2.5 announcement allowing museums to open at up to 50% capacity, the Museum’s galleries, the Museum Store, and Perspective Café will reopen for Museum Members starting September 9, and for the public starting September 12. The Wells Fargo Art PLAYce, our intergenerational makerspace, and the Frances Mulhall Achilles Art Library are temporarily closed. Please visit our website to review our safety procedures, learn more about current exhibitions, and reserve tickets beginning at Friday, September 4, 5pm.
