Join Museum education staff for a FREE Family Art Party! to engage in hands-on fun with artists Eleanor Annand, Josh Copus, and Valeria Watson, soon to be featured in our opening juried exhibition Appalachia Now! The afternoon includes storytelling and music with the talented Buncombe County librarians. Kids may try their hands at printmaking, mixed media, stamping clay bricks, enjoy temporary tattoos designed by John Henry Gloyne, and more!
Josh Copus (pictured) will give away commemorative Asheville Art Museum bricks as part of the day’s make a brick, take a brick activity (while supplies last). Special thanks to The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina for their support of the Family Art Party! and other Appalachia Now! community programs.
