The Wright Club — a monthly subscription service that applies the ‘go local’ ethos on the state level by shipping NC-made products to users — has issued an open call for product submissions from Asheville’s artisan makers. Accepted businesses will have their products or other materials shipped out to a pool of subscribers at no cost to the company. Recipients pay for the service, which aims to highlight “the amazing products made here in the Old North State,” according to founder Kevin King.

“As an Asheville native, I’m proud and excited about the bustling artisans my hometown has to offer,” says King. “From crafts to craft beer, Asheville is a place to be emulated. It’s my hope that in a statewide market, the mountains are more than represented. I’m looking forward to showing off what you do.”

Highland Brewing Co. products were accepted among the first group of goods, which will be shipped out to users in September.

“Along with shipping your items out, we also use social media and email marketing to promote your business to our entire network,” he says.

Items accepted as submissions to the club include products, samples, promotional materials, and exclusive discounts for members, according to King, who is operating the company from Raleigh.

The Wright Club is now accepting applications for October’s shipment. To apply for inclusion, contact Kevin King at wrightclub@douglasmediagroup.com or 828-691-2503. Visit wrightclub.com/ for more information.
