Asheville Dentist Elected President of North Carolina Dental Society

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Fletcher dentist Dr. Mark Scheiderich has been named president of the 3,700-member North Carolina Dental Society for 2018.

Dr. Scheiderich attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2000 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation, Dr. Scheiderich served in the U.S. Army at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he earned his Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree. He was stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany where he served as the officer in charge of a 10-chair dental clinic responsible for the well-being of more than 3,000 soldiers and family members. Dr. Scheiderich was honored with a Meritorious Service Medal at the end of his military career.

After honing his skills as an associate, Dr. Scheiderich acquired a private practice in 2006 in Fletcher. Currently, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and serves as President-Elect on the NCDS Board of Trustees. Dr. Scheiderich lives in Arden with his wife and two daughters.
