Asheville holiday parade returns to downtown Nov. 18

Press release from the Asheville Downtown Association

The Asheville Downtown Association is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Asheville Holiday Parade presented by Bojangles, scheduled for Saturday, November 18, at 11 am. This festive extravaganza promises to enchant spectators as the heart of Downtown Asheville transforms into a winter wonderland, with this year’s theme being the whimsical ‘Snow Globe.’

We are honored to introduce our esteemed Grand Marshals, Yvonne Cook-Riley and Rosie Palmisano, representing an incredible 35 years of dedicated volunteerism and service with the Asheville Downtown Association. Their commitment and passion have played a vital role in shaping our vibrant community.

For the first time ever, the Asheville Holiday Parade will kick off with a Onesie One-Miler Race along the parade route, starting at 10:30 am and hosted by Kick-It Events. Participants are invited to don their coziest onesies and add a dash of fun to the pre-parade festivities.

After the parade, families can make their way to the Restoration Hotel for free photos with Santa from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. It’s a wonderful opportunity to capture those magical moments and create lasting memories.

The success of this event relies on the support of our community, and we’re still in need of enthusiastic volunteers. Join us in spreading joy and holiday spirit by contributing your time and energy to make this parade truly special.

Let’s come together to celebrate the season, showcase our community’s creativity, and make the Asheville Holiday Parade a cherished memory for all!
