From Asheville Humane Society

Press release

Put your best paw forward by joining fellow animal lovers at Tails at Twilight – Taste of Compassion Gala on Saturday, November 7 from 6 PM – 9 PM at the MHCC Event Center in Historic Montford. Thanks to our generous sponsors all expenses are covered so 100% of the money raised will benefit local animals in need. We are grateful to our Presenting Sponsor Animal Hospital of North Asheville and all of our other sponsors including our Platinum Paw sponsor Wick & Green and all of our Best in Show sponsors: Aloft, Blue Ridge Orthodonics, R.E.A.C.H./Asheville Veterinary Associates and Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery.

This benefit auction includes unique items, original art, travel packages and one-of-a-kind experiences up for bid. Local businesses, artists and individuals, have generously donated a wide-range of items this year including custom private parties, destination vacations, hand-crafted jewelry, products and services for beloved pets, gift certificates for restaurants, concerts and the coveted 2016 Outback from Prestige Subaru.

All guests will be treated to wine courtesy of Mutual Distributing and locally crafted beer provided by Highland Brewing Company and Oskar Blues Brewery. Local restaurants and chefs are sponsoring the array of delicious vegetarian hors d’oeuvres and desserts to be enjoyed throughout the evening. These food crafters include Strada Italiano, Greenlife, Travinia and the restaurants of Valet Gourmet. Live music will be provided by the Bruce Lang Band featuring vocalist, Maddy Winer.

For the first time in the event’s history supporters have the opportunity to purchase V.I.P. tickets which get them access to an exclusive V.I.Paw lounge and private bar where they will be treated to champagne and a custom truffle bar by French Broad Chocolates!

“Witnessing the outpouring of generosity and seeing the dedication to our mission written on each and every face in the room is truly inspiring,” said Lauren Weldishofer, Special Events Manager for Asheville Humane Society. “Just as Asheville Humane Society continues to raise the bar for animal welfare in our community, we continue to elevate our signature fundraising event to include new and tantalizing elements to honor our supporters and the local animals we all champion.”

This event is for human guests so be sure to leave your furry friends at home for the evening. Tickets are $75. Only 50 V.I.P. tickets will be available at $125. All tickets are on sale now and available online at www.ashevillehumane.org.
