Asheville Mardi Gras comes marching in

Asheville Mardi Gras is bringing back the city’s only season long festival! This is a general announcement with information and details on the season’s events calendar thus far. Come join us for the most fun you’ll have all winter:

Tuesday, Jan. 6: 12th Night, hosted once again at fabulous Eleven on Grove.On 12th Night the new 2015 AMG King and Queen will be chosen by fate when they find the baby hidden in their slice of the traditional King Cake. Costumes, music, dancing.

Sunday, Jan. 25: The Cajun Cook-off at the Millroom. This will be the 7th Annual Cajun Cook-off AMG has hosted. This is a highly competitive Cajun Cook-off with many area restaurants and amateur chefs going head to head to impress their 250 judges.

Sunday, Feb. 15: Asheville Mardi Gras Parade and the Queen’s Ball. Krewes, bands, beads and always a good time! Parade marches rain or shine and is followed by the Queen’s Ball filled with free live music, dancing and is family friendly and open to the public.

This year’s theme is: And Now For Something Completely Different.
