Asheville Mardi Gras continues to raise funds to cover city fees

Press release from Asheville Mardi Gras:

At 3pm on Mar. 3rd this year, Asheville Mardi Gras presents its 12th annual Mardi Gras parade, with 20+ krewes marching through South Slope. It’s a colorful, music-filled spectacle that’s family friendly, full of frivolity and fun, celebrating joy, diversity and inclusion. We’re a fully volunteer, 501c3 organization and we’re really proud of this exciting event.  We’re 100% entertainment for all of our spectators and we know the crowd appreciates the creative effort and inspiration that goes into this parade.

City of Asheville parade fees, permits, insurance and security costs total $2450 for 2019.  That’s only a portion of our parade expenses so we’re asking for your help to cover these fixed costs. Remember, the parade is FREE to all who participate and to all spectators.

No donation is too small! We’ll gladly take $5, $10, $20 or more. 100% of funds raised will go directly to paying our City of Asheville required expenses.

Please help us cover our fees so we can put all of our energy into delivering the best parade ever!

Donations of $30 or more qualify for an Asheville Mardi Gras annual membership which includes a $10 discounted entry to our Cajun Cookoff on Feb. 17th, a FREE invite to the post-parade Queen’s Ball and our annual Picnic, and our heartfelt THANK YOU for your support of our social club and community outreach.  Please include your email address if you want to join Asheville Mardi Gras as a member.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!
