Asheville Police request assistance identifying suspect in identity theft

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

The Asheville Police Department is requesting public assistance identifying a suspect believed to have stolen a man’s identity in order to purchase cellular phones throughout Western North Carolina. Similar instances have occurred in Marion and Davidson County.

If anyone has information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect they are encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Buncombe County Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.
