Asheville’s small-scale residential infill discussion continues with online component, public meeting

Press release from the City of Asheville:

City staff held the first of two workshops on July 14 to gather public input on City code considerations that seek to allow for more small-scale residential infill development. Approximately 100 people attended the presentation of the staff analysis and initial considerations, followed by an hour of small group discussion where attendees provided feedback to City planners. All of the posters shown at the workshop are now available on the Small Scale Residential Infill project page.

There is still plenty of time to weigh in on the code considerations. For those who were unable to make the first workshop there will be a second public workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the U.S. Cellular Center, 2nd flood banquet hall.

Also, the topic is available for online public input on Open City Hall Asheville. Those who cannot make either of the two workshops are encouraged to read the analysis and take the survey there. The online survey will close on August 30.
