Barnes & Noble at Asheville Mall hosts an exclusive first reading of “Serafina and the Twisted Staff,” April 9

Barnes & Noble will host New York Times Best Selling Author, Robert Beatty, for a signing of his novel, Serafina and the Black Cloak on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 2-6pm. This event will also feature the exclusive first public reading and unveiling of the cover art from his second novel, Serafina and the Twisted Staff. The event is free and open to the public.

Serafina and the Black Cloak tells the story of a young girl living in the basement of the Biltmore House, who discovers her own strength and the strength of friendship in order to face a supernatural foe. This New York Times Bestseller has become an instant classic for young readers and adults alike. Attendees will enjoy the reveal of the cover art and an exclusive first public reading from the second book in the series, Serafina and the Twisted Staff, performed by local storyteller, Candice Owens. Attendees will be joined by costumed performers, featuring a new character from book 2. Refreshments will be provided for guests to enjoy as they meet Mr. Beatty and have their books signed.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring their own copies of the book for the signing and copies of Serafina and the Black Cloak will be on hand for purchase as well. Barnes & Noble will also be accepting reservations for the second in the series, Serafina and the Twisted Staff, which is on-sale this summer.
