Barnes & Noble hosts Teen Book Festival, June 10-12

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will host a nation-wide teen book festival June 10-12. This three day event focuses on teen and young adult authors, events, and upcoming releases.

Schedule of the events planned for B-Fest at Barnes & Noble – Asheville Mall:

Friday, June 10th
7 pm – B-In the Know
Join us for our Trivia Blas, created by Penguin Teen and Random House’s First in Line, who will send one winner in every store advance reader’s copies of the most anticipated new teen books.

7pm – Alan Gratz Signing
Join us for an evening with YALSA Award-winning author Alan Gratz as he discusses and signs his new young adult thriller, Code of Honor.

Saturday, June 11th
11am – B-First
Get sneak peeks of your favorites, including James Dashner’s prequel to The Maze Runner, new stories from Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, and an exciting new series from Veronica Roth, plus other exciting giveaways.

1pm – Megan Shepherd Signing
Join us for an afternoon with author Megan Shepherd, who will be discussing and signing her new dystopian science fiction novel, The Hunt.

2pm – B-Part of the Fun
Join us for a spelling showdown, story ball, games, and activities featuring popular teen series, plus a chance to win prize packs, swag, and more!

2pm – E.B. Hunter Signing
Join us in welcoming local author E.B. Hunter, who will be discussing and signing his book, The Chronicles of Dillon and Fuzzy: Bullying Edition.

4pm – Martha LeMasters Signing
Join us in welcoming Martha LeMasters, author of The Step: One Woman’s Journey to Finding Her Own Happiness and Success During the Apollo Space Program.

Sunday, June 12th
1pm – Alexandra Duncan Signing
Join us for an afternoon with local author Alexandra Duncan, who will be discussing and signing her new young adult eco-science fiction novel, Salvage.

2pm – B-Creative
Participate in a story development workshop created by Adaptive Studios and learn how to write a log line, create a spark page, and reimagine popular characters.
