The Haywood County Arts Council (HCAC) is excited to announce that local artist, Barbara Brook is offering a Batik Class on Saturday, November 17 at the HCAC Gallery & Gifts from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
In this workshop we will transform a photo of the beloved water lily, using watercolors and wax, into a batik painting. Learn the basics of batik painting with local artist Barbara Brook. A beginner as well as an advanced painter will enjoy this unique process of layering paint and wax on textured rice paper. All supplies will be provided so just bring your artistic curiosity to learn a new, fun technique.
