News from the local chapter of Ben’s Friends, a national support group for people in the hospitality industry struggling with addiction: After the past year of meeting over Zoom, Ben’s Friends Asheville is thrilled to hold weekly meetings once again in person. These meetings will take place every Monday from 10am-11am ET at AB Tech Culinary Arts & Hospitality School (located at 30 Tech Drive in the Magnolia Building). In addition, there are always virtual meetings available for anyone who may be new to sober living or not comfortable meeting in person.
Many hospitality workers who transitioned to a sober lifestyle during the past year in quarantine must prepare to face the stresses of in-person work environments once again. Having a support group to meet with, in person, will be particularly important during this challenging time. Ben’s Friends always welcomes new members, so we would love your help in spreading the word about these meetings to the Asheville-area community.
