Acoustic Corner Instructor’s Concert 2016

Fans of acoustic music anticipate the Acoustic Corner Instructor’s Concert at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts in November each year. Positioned the weekend before Thanksgiving, the annual event has been showcasing this evolving group of talented musicians since 2007. This year’s concert takes place on Friday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. There is a $15 donation at the door with no advanced sales or reserved seats for this very popular evening of eclectic musical styles. For more information call 828-669-0930 or Acoustic Corner at 828-669-5162.

“Acoustic Corner is excited to continue the tradition of the Instructor’s Concert at Black Mountain Center for the Arts. The combined creativity of this eclectic group of teacher-musicians can be counted on to surprise and entertain,” says new owner Joe Friddle, who took the reins from long-time owners Stephanie and Tom Fellenbaum earlier this year. The line-up this year includes Laurie Fisher, Matt Kinne, Billy Presnell, Dov Deustachio and David Zoll. It is not unusual for special guests to make an appearance as well.

This special performance is the only time that the group gets to play together during the year. As close business associates focused on busy performing and teaching schedules, this is a great opportunity to showcase their personal styles and, when not center stage, back up their fellow musicians.

We look forward to the Instructor’s Concert every year not only because these musicians feel like friends to us, but also because of the serendipity and excitement that comes from the event,” says Arts Center Executive Director Gale Jackson.

Don’t miss the chance to view all of these talented musicians and friends together on stage for an evening that only happens once a year. The Black Mountain Center for the Arts is located at 225 W. State Street. For more information visit www.BlackMountainArts.org or call 828-669-0930.
