Blue Ridge Honor Flight holds swing dance fundraiser, Sept. 15

Blue Ridge Honor Flight will be hosting its second annual Swing Dance at the Hendersonville Elk’s Lodge on September 15, 2018.  Complimentary swing dance lessons will be held from 6pm -7pm and the dance will take place from 7pm – 9pm.  The evening of swing dancing will help Blue Ridge Honor Flight raise funds to send veterans to Washington, DC to visit their memorials. Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door.

Music will be provided by Russ Wilson and His Famous Orchestra. Russ and his orchestra bring the sounds of the big band era to brilliant life, with tune selections including those of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fletcher Henderson, Benny Goodman, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and more.

The Hendersonville Elk’s Lodge is located at 546 North Justice Street, Hendersonville. 1940’s and 1950’s dress is optional! For more information, contact Marybeth Burns at (828)-388-4448.
