For Pisgah by Pisgah – Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs to perform at Pisgah Brewing Company’s outdoor stage to benefit Pisgah Legal Services
Nonprofit organization partners with Pisgah Brewing Company to host concert
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – On Tuesday, June 21, music legends Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs will perform with Kentucky Thunder at Pisgah Brewing Company’s outdoor stage in Black Mountain.
The performance is presented by Pisgah Brewing Company and Amplify My Community, a nonprofit that supports organizations that demonstrate outstanding results in alleviating homelessness or improving quality of education in low-income areas. And yet another “Pisgah” group is involved: A portion of ticket sales will benefit Pisgah Legal Services, a nonprofit law firm that helps low-income people in Western North Carolina who are in need of legal assistance but cannot afford it.
Spencer Smith, an organizer with Amplify My Community, says, “We’re thrilled to work with music legends Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs at such a great venue. Guests will not only enjoy a terrific concert, but they will also be helping people in need in right here in WNC through the work of Pisgah Legal Services.”
“We are so thankful to have Amplify and Pisgah Brewing Company support our efforts to help local people living in poverty,” notes PLS Executive Director Jim Barrett. “We depend more and more on local support from the community and generous groups like these.”
Tickets for the event are available now and can be purchased online at www.pisgahbrewing.com. General admission is $40 in advance or $45 day of show. The Hopster VIP Package can be purchased for $70 and includes a guided brewery tour plus private viewing area.
Hornsby and Skaggs have collaborated on new tunes and traditional bluegrass classics to blend Hornsby’s piano talent and songwriting mastery with Skaggs’ bluegrass expertise to produce an exciting mix of high-lonesome harmonies, full throttle bluegrass picking and improvisational piano.
