Buncombe Commissioners taking applications for short-term rental ad hoc committee

News release from Buncombe County:
The Buncombe County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Short-Term Rental Ad Hoc Committee through July 31. Commissioners are looking for representation from:
  • Real estate professionals
  • Short-term rental property owners
  • Affordable housing advocates
  • Short-term rental ancillary business owner, like a management or cleaning company
  • Community at-large
One or more Planning Board members may also be part of the committee.
The goal of this group will be to thoroughly evaluate short-term rental regulations, identify policy implications, and provide feedback. The committee will meet up to three times per month in September and October. In November, the committee will present to the Planning Board, and the Planning Board will in-turn go before the Board of Commissioners.
The Short-Term Rental Ad Hoc Committee’s work continues earlier discussions around short-term rental ordinance text amendments. In April, the Planning Board voted to defer any decisions about text amendments for a minimum of 100 days.

La Junta de Comisionados del Condado de Buncombe está aceptando solicitudes para un Comité Ad Hoc de Alquiler a Corto Plazo comenzando hoy hasta el 31 de julio. Los comisionados están buscando representantes de:
