Buncombe County closing schedule for Thanksgiving

From Buncombe County:

County Holiday Closings

Buncombe County Government Offices will be closed November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving and December 23, 26 & 27 for Christmas, and January 2 for New Year’s.

The Landfill & Transfer Station schedule as follows:

  • Closed on Thursday, November 24 for Thanksgiving
  • Open Regular hours on Friday, November 25
  • Open Regular hours on Friday, December 23
  • Close at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 24 for Christmas Eve
  • Open regular hours on Monday & Tuesday, December 26, & 27
  • Open regular hours on Monday, January 2, 2017.

Household Hazardous Waste Day and Electronics Recycling at the Buncombe County Landfill will be open on Friday, November 25 & Friday, December 23 for normal operation
