News release from Buncombe County:
Calling all Buncombe County youth artists. Election Services wants to see your designs for the ever-popular “I Voted” sticker. “We had so much fun working with our young artists in 2022 for the General Election ‘I Voted’ sticker,” says Election Services Director Corinne Duncan. “We are excited to do this again and to see how creative the community can get.” Break out your colored pens and pencils, roll up your sleeves, show your civic pride, and give us your best sticker design.
WHO: Any young person, up to age 18, who is a resident of Buncombe County is eligible to participate.
WHAT: Design a logo that we will use to create 2-inch “I Voted” stickers and digital graphics that can be used for sharing for the Nov. 5, 2024, Presidential Election. “I Voted” must appear somewhere in the design, but the rest is up to you.
WHEN: The deadline to send in your artwork is July 12, 2024. A selection committee made up of representatives from the Board of Elections, Election Services, and Buncombe’s Communications & Public Engagement team will select the top designs and then the contest will be opened to the community to vote for the winner. Head to engage.buncombecounty.org/2024bcelectionstickercontest for more information. We’ll open voting for your favorite design from Aug. 1-18. The winning artwork will be announced in September. Stickers will be distributed during the Presidential Election to voters in Buncombe County.
HOW: Send us your artwork by July 12. Download a sticker template and information packet at engage.buncombecounty.org/2024bcelectionstickercontest and then send a photo, PDF, or JPEG of your design to prteam@buncombecounty.org, or mail it to 199 College St., Asheville, NC 28801.
Note: All artworks will become the property of Buncombe County Government.
