Buncombe County Schools has called a special meeting Tuesday, May 28 to review letters of interest to fill the vacant at-large seat on the Buncombe County Board of Education, according to the agenda for the meeting. The seat was vacated when Amanda Simpkins resigned May 15.

There will be a Special-Called Meeting of the Buncombe County Board of Education on May 28, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Minitorium at 175 Bingham Road, Asheville, NC 28806. The Special Called Meeting has been scheduled in accordance with BCS Board Policy #2300.
The Special Called Meeting is open to the public. Please use entrance “B”. We ask that bags or water bottles not be brought into the building. Public comment will not be heard at the Special-Called Meeting pursuant to BCS Board Policy #2310.
All meetings will take place at the Buncombe County Board of Education located at 175 Bingham Road, Asheville, NC.
