Buncombe County Schools hosts job fair on Aug. 7

Press release from Buncombe County Schools:

BCS is hosting a job fair for support staff positions tomorrow, Tuesday, August 7 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon, in the Nesbitt Discovery Academy Cafeteria (175 Bingham Rd., Asheville). You’re invited to stop by and learn more about the various opportunities that are currently available.

Many support staff positions earn a beginning pay of more than $13 per hour. BCS is proud to offer our employees a living wage as well as many other benefits. Full-time employees earn vacation time, sick leave, longevity pay, plus enrollment in the state health plan and retirement system.

The Human Resources Department is working to fill numerous support positions such as maintenance and clerical staff, bus drivers, custodians, and instructional assistants. We are especially interested in recruiting more bus drivers. In fact, we are pleased to announce that new bus drivers will make almost $16 per hour.
