Press release from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office:
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place at 5 a.m. Thursday morning at a Shell gas station located at 2251 Hendersonville Road in Arden. The suspect is described as a white male who is approximately 5’10” and 180 pounds and in his mid-twenties.
The suspect pointed a handgun at the store clerk and forced them into the bathroom and then made off with a large amount of tobacco products and the contents of the cash drawer. The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored SUV vehicle.
Anyone with additional information on the armed robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to please contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at 828-250-6670 or submit a tip via the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office app, which can be downloaded in the Apple or Google Play stores.
