NC Women United (NCWU) is a coalition of progressive organizations and individuals committed to advancing public policy that supports the full economic, legal and social equality of women in NC. The agenda assemblies are organized locally and take place every other year before the Long Session of the Legislature. This event provides an excellent opportunity for training and education of women by learning the value of lobbying of local legislators during the NCWU Women’s Advocacy Day at the Legislative Bldg. in the following spring.
Co-sponsors of this event are YWCA, American Association of University Women-Asheville, Asheville – Buncombe County League of Women Voters, Women for Women, Our Voice, Planned Parenthood, Helpmate, MAHEC and many volunteers.
