2 p.m. update
Voters in Buncombe County have five hours left to cast their votes on Election Day. As of 2 p.m., 12,498 voters have turned out today, bringing the total to more than 152,000 people who have now cast their votes in Buncombe County. Download the counts here. Pisgah Elementary School and Pole Creek Baptist Church maintain the highest numbers with 425 and 433 respectively. We have no incidents to report at this time.
10 a.m. update
The polls have been open since 6:30 a.m., and the first voter count is in. As of 10 a.m., 6,380 voters cast their ballots in Buncombe County on Election Day, bringing the total Buncombe County turnout to 71%. Download the counts here.
Pisgah Elementary School and Pole Creek Baptist Church have seen the highest numbers this morning with 219 and 205 respectively. We have no incidents to report, and the NC State Board of Elections reports that voter turnout is steady across North Carolina this morning.
