Byers Precision named a semifinalist in the “Coolest Thing Made in NC” competition

Press release from Byer’s Precision Fabricators:

Byer’s Precision Fabricators announced today that they have been named as a semi-finalist in the “Coolest Thing Made in NC” Competition.

What an incredible honor this is! Considering the tens of thousands of unique products made in North Carolina, for Byer’s Precision to be recognized for one of the sixteen coolest things to be manufactured this year is a testament to the creativity and skill that our employees provide for our customers.” Said Anthony Byers, President of Byer’s Precision.

Byer’s Precision, located in Hendersonville, was announced to the public as a semi-finalist on September 8—along with 36 other semifinalists, for their Arras Hotel Architectural Panels located in Asheville, NC.

Byer’s Precision Fabricators has a long history of taking on incredibly complex projects that require huge feats of engineering and fabrication precision, and this project was certainly no exception!

When the Arras Hotel approached Byer’s with their vision for visually stunning metal accents on a grand scale, the local company welcomed the challenge and got to work, creating astonishing window metal panels and a 6’ metal logo for the hotel. The second round of voting has started and will continue through September 16, 2022.

The top 5 businesses in each category will be announced on September 22, when Byer’s may move on to the last round, and compete as a “Top 5” contender. The winner will be announced on October 6.

The vote tally has been reset to level the field for all semifinalists. As in the first round, the community may still only vote once a day with a valid email address.

This competition helps to highlight manufacturing in NC, a crucial key to the state’s economic success. Byer’s Precision Fabricators was opened in 1942 by Paul Byers, where he started a general sheet metal shop in Hendersonville, NC. Byer’s Sheet Metal Works quickly became one of the largest ductwork and roofing contractors in the state. Today, Byer’s Precision Fabricators is a 60,000 sq. ft facility, and the company has come a long way in 80 years! For more information about Byer’s, click here:  https://www.byersprecision.com/
